Nerdful Things – Elder Scrolls Online: End of Year Events, Unlock a New Mount + More
Welcome to my Elder Scrolls Online [ESO] update for the tail-end of the year. After just receiving our Psijic villas, mascot ponies and charger mounts we have some more awesome news, events and items to look forward to. The Murkmire prologue dropped a few days ago and I wish I’d jumped on it sooner. I’d been busy working towards my Hero of the Aldmeri Dominion trophy so I only started the prologue yesterday.
You can obtain the quest starter from the Crown Store (for free!) and undertake the two main quests before you can sink your teeth into the dailies. You can complete six per day and there are achievements (in-game) for completing your first, fortieth and one hundred and fiftieth quests. No small feat.
SUMMON THE INDRIK
Traditionally found roaming the isle of Summerset, Indriks are especially powerful magical creatures, and they can provide a challenge for even the most experienced adventurers. While it is possible to hunt them in the wild, it is now also possible to acquire one as a mount, too!
In order to acquire the brand-new Nascent Indrik mount, you must take part in ESO’s four upcoming in-game events (detailed below) and collect four magical feathers, with a different one available for each specific event.
Here’s how it works:
- During an in-game event, collect Event Tickets by participating in that event’s daily activities.
- You can earn Event Tickets from one activity per account per day.
- Collect 10 Event Tickets and use them to buy the Indrik Feather specific to that event from the new merchant known as The Impresario.
- The Impresario is located at a special booth in Daggerfall in Glenumbra, Davon’s Watch in Stonefalls, and Vulkhel Guard in Auridon.
- Once you have all four feathers, use them to summon your own Nascent Indrik mount!
Every time a new in-game event starts, you’ll be able to purchase the new Indrik Feather AND any previous feathers. You are not locked out of purchasing feathers from previous events, so if you weren’t able to collect enough Event Tickets previously, you always have a chance to catch up.
I’m loving my Charger mount from the Summerfall event but this could be my next favourite!
To earn tickets, you need to participate in the below events and here are the dates for your calendar.
Witches Festival: 18 October – 1 November
To earn Event Tickets during the Witches Festival, you must acquire Dremora Plunder Skulls. You will receive one Event Ticket alongside the first Dremora Plunder Skull you earn each day (in addition to the other regular rewards).
Clockwork City Celebration: 15 November – 26 November
To earn Event Tickets during the Clockwork City Celebration Event, you must complete the DLC zone’s daily quests. You will receive two Event Tickets from the first daily quest you complete each day (in addition to the other regular rewards). You must own or have access to the Clockwork City DLC game pack in order to participate in this event.
Undaunted Celebration 29 November – 5 December
To earn Event Tickets during the Undaunted Celebration Event, you must complete a dungeon (Normal or Veteran). You will receive three Event Tickets from the final boss of the first dungeon you complete in addition to the normal rewards. You don’t have to be in a random dungeon LFG group to earn your Event Tickets!
New Life Festival 13 December – 2 January
To earn Event Tickets during the New Life Festival, you must complete the New Life Festival quests. You will receive one Event Ticket the first time you complete a quest each day (in addition to the New Life Festival Box).
A key point worth noting:
Note that you can only carry 12 Event Tickets at a time and that they are an account-wide “currency” that can’t be traded, so be sure to pick up those Indrik Feathers before trying to earn more. Don’t forget, the amount of Event Tickets you can earn per day depends on the event (one, two, or three), and you need 10 Event Tickets in total to purchase a single Indrik Feather!
You may also have noticed that the in-game achievements have been updated in preparation for these events.
It’s gonna be a busy few weeks and I can’t wait! What event are you most excited about? Have you had any decent wins with the Hollowjack Crates? Share them below!
Thanks for reading.

If you’re new to ESO or you’re just getting back into it, I definitely recommend ESO+. Not only do you get crowns to spend in the crown store with your subscription, you get one of the most invaluable bonuses ever. The craft bag. Struggling for storage space is a nightmare in the game and pack upgrades and horse storage takes time and gold. A lot of gold. The craft bag frees you from the shackles of the poor storage by allowing you to store infinite crafting items and allows you to fill your pockets and bank with items to aid you in battle or to loot the spoils of war and learn new traits, gain key crafting components or just sell them for gold. £53.99 for six months is a bargain.
And, whether you’re a Playstation or XBox user, why not get discounted wallet top ups to fund your ESO+ or just top up your crowns every now and again? Check out the amazing deals at ElectronicFirst. I use them all the time and I usually get the e-mail with my code(s) within ten minutes. Some great savings to be had – £43.99 for a £50 PSN top up? You’d be daft not to!
