Welcome to Prog 48 which features ‘Invasion!‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Bonjo From Beyond the Stars‘, ‘Inferno!‘, ‘Dan Dare‘, ‘The Visible Man‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 21 January 1978.
‘Dan Dare‘ rallies the slave planets in a call to arms to reclaim their planets while the Dark Lord has sealed himself away aboard Dare‘s ship after escaping custody.
‘The Visible Man‘ escapes the medical facility he’s being held in as he struggles to grasp his condition. His appearance kind of reminds me of Dr Manhattan when he first starts gaining form after the accident as well as Hellraiser in his appearance as well as the fact he is called Frank (Frank Cotton was the antagonist in Hellraiser).
‘Bonjo From Beyond the Stars‘ goes full-size again as MACH Aardvark tries to chuck out Bonjo‘s brain.
‘Judge Dredd‘ struggles for air in the Oxygen Desert after the mundane life of a marshal gets the better of him and he seeks a thrill by means of an armed robbery.
‘Invasion!‘ has Volgaska‘s plan well underway with Savage and co onboard the “American ship” and Nessie falls into a trap.
‘Inferno‘ recruit the Hell Kittens as their cheerleaders but one of them is not what she seems.
And my “Pick of the Prog“: ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘ has yet more alien antics with another concept seen in The X-Files among other media with an astronaut being copied by an alien species so they may take their place back on Earth.
Prog 48 vanquished! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 49!
