2000ADHD – A Prog a Day – Prog 63

Welcome to Prog 63 featuring ‘M.A.C.H.1‘, ‘Death Planet‘, ‘Inferno!‘, ‘Dan Dare‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 6 May 1978.

I’ve decided to change up the way I do these as I feel like it’s a mundane task and not really an enjoyable read so instead of giving a short synopsis of every strip, I will focus on my Pick of the Prog only. Feel free to drop a comment with your thoughts on the change and any other ideas.

This time around, my pick is ‘Judge Dredd‘.

Dredd is on his way to Mega-City 2 through the Cursed Earth to deliver vaccines for the 2T(fru)T virus. He has come upon the town of Deliverance where a couple have been sentenced to die at the paws of the Devil’s Lap Dogs (rats). Aside from the ongoings in this town, I loved the fact Dredd makes the proclamation as pictured below. The fact he has just rocked up to this town, with no jurisdiction and lays down the law as he is wont to do is just classic Dredd.
