Welcome to Prog 89 featuring ‘Strontium Dog‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Flesh‘, ‘Ro-Busters‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 4 November 1978.
Cover Art Robot: Mike McMahon
Judge Dredd is in bad shape as Walter cries for him not to die… Oh heck…
My Pick of the Prog in this issue is ‘Judge Dredd‘.
Script Robot: John Howard
Art Robot: Mike McMahon
Lettering Robot: T. Frame
Judge Cal takes control as Chief Judge in a fashion not too dissimilar to that within the Unseen University, and the power literally goes to his head which we later see has a fresh new trim and he’s looking rather like Pat Mills… Dredd figures out Cal was behind the form Chief Judge‘s demise at the hands of the Special Judicial Squad (SJS) and then has an attempt on his life as well! You know shit’s gonna go down after this…
Prog 89 has its cap peeled back! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 90 and we begin the countdown to Prog 100!
