Welcome to my New Blog
I popped this new blogs cherry yesterday with my Clazio review but you’ll notice that it technically isn’t the first blog post on the site. I imported some of my old posts from my original blog for my In Blackest Night and The BlogFather segments.
As I’ve said on my About Me page, I’ve kinda re-branded myself as ‘Nerdful Things’ was more of a specific net and my own personal blogs didn’t sit well in that environment. This new blog is a means of consolidating my various channels into one blog but giving readers the ability to pick and choose which channels to follow – let’s be honest, topics on depression and anxiety aren’t for everyone but that’s not to say the other content I publish can’t be enjoyed by a diverse audience.
So, going forward (and continuing some customs established on my previous blogs) here’s a summary of the content and the tags they will be published as:
‘In Blackest Night‘ is my home for all depression/anxiety/mental health related experiences, thoughts, musings, concerns etc.
‘Nerdful Things‘ will encompass any pop culture related content from movies, TV, comics, books etc.
‘The BlogFather‘ will house all my parenting woes, life hacks and so on.
Rather than having umpteen different blogs to try and keep on top of, this should make it a lot easier to do something I enjoy and hopefully you all will too.
I’ve also revamped the donation button – to those that have donated in the past, I wan’t to give out a huge THANK YOU – and I just want to point out that you don’t have to donate to support the site – you can use any Amazon links you see on here to shop on Amazon and grab yourself some awesome bargains without shelling out extra – the site gets a small kick-back from Amazon while you get to order stuff you’d normally buy without any extra fees!
I want to keep the ads to a minimum and the majority that I have will predominantly be for companies in line with my type of content (such as Pop in a Box, My Geek Box & Loot Crate) which will give you discounts/rewards for clicking through and ordering (such as 20% off, £5 off etc.) as well as the awesome goods themselves!
Thanks again to my dedicated readers over the years and the new ones to come!
