Frugal Rock – Tophatter

There are a ton of apps out there that promise super low prices – from Wish to things like Groupon and Wowcher – there are so many to choose from.

I recently got told about Tophatter, a buddy from work mentioned it and showed me some of the items he had won.  Tophatter is a bidding site, but unlike others where you have to buy credits or tokens to use as part of your wager, you literally see live auctions and fight to win the bids.  Items refresh every few minutes and you can try again for items that you lost out on previously.

You can, if you wish, search for items and pay a higher price to be guaranteed to get it or you can wait and bid on it and hopefully receive it for a much reduced price.  It’s like Wish on speed.
