Welcome to Prog 32 which features ‘Invasion!‘, ‘Shako!‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Dan Dare‘, ‘M.A.C.H.1‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 1 October 1977.

I’ve been struggling with figuring out how to format these posts in the sense of listing the stories in the order they’re printed or just keeping my favourite until last. Not sure what makes for better reading or if anyone who reads this just wants to see what my pick is and then buggers off? Let me know in the comments what you prefer.

For now, I think I’ll stick to the order in which they appear for the most part an put my favourite at the end.

Invasion!‘ sees Savage captured by the Volgs in Inverness.

Judge Dredd‘ tackles an automated hotel that goes on a killing spree. It reminded me of the Ghost in the Machine episode of The X-Files.

Shako!‘ almost drowns as the Americans try to re-capture him.

Dan Dare‘ escapes the clutches of the weird vampiric race who had designs on feasting on Dare and his crew.

M.A.C.H.1‘ fights for his life against the aliens in Macon County.

And my “Pick of the Prog“: ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘ shows us the beauty of time travel in the tourist industry. This heavily reminded me of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

Prog 32 warped! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 33!
