Welcome to Prog 40 which features ‘Invasion!‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Inferno!‘, ‘Dan Dare‘, ‘M.A.C.H.1‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 26 November 1977.

I’ve been struggling with figuring out how to format these posts in the sense of listing the stories in the order they’re printed or just keeping my favourite until last. Not sure what makes for better reading or if anyone who reads this just wants to see what my pick is and then buggers off? Let me know in the comments what you prefer.

For now, I think I’ll stick to the order in which they appear for the most part an put my favourite at the end.

Judge Dredd‘ gives us part one of the Mega City 5000 Race – an illegal bike race that spans the east coast of the USA.

Invasion!‘ has another rescue mission to get the prince back out of Britain but, in true fashion, it goes Pete Tong.

Dan Dare‘ sparks a revolt on a slave planet under Starslayer control.

M.A.C.H.1‘ is on a secret mission to stop a Death Ray.

Inferno‘ continues with the aftermath of the dodgy gum debacle with explosive consequences.

And my “Pick of the Prog“: ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘ returns with a twist on asteroid mining.

Prog 40 filed away! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 41!

Florix Grabundae!
