Welcome to Prog 90 featuring ‘Strontium Dog‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Flesh‘, ‘Ro-Busters‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 11 November 1978.

A rather busy cover this week, looking more like a ‘gossip’ magazine like Hello or something.

My Pick of the Prog in this issue is ‘Judge Dredd‘ (again).

Script Robot: John Howard

Art Robot: Mike McMahon

Lettering Robot: T. Frame

Judge Cal continues his lunacy, this time appointing Judge Fish as the Deputy Chief. I’d heard of and seen Judge Fish but never understood how he came to be and now I know and it is a concept as brilliant as it is daft. Dredd finds himself on the brink of execution once more but Giant does a double (double?) cross and him and Dredd are set to rebel against the new regime…

Prog 90 bound and gagged! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 91 as we continue on the road to Prog 100 (or maybe it should be 104 to mark 2 years of 2000AD goodness?)
