Welcome to Prog 156 – and, as Tharg declares, the Zarjaz third birthday issue! Featuring ‘Blackhawk‘, ‘The V.C.’s‘, ‘Fiends of the Eastern Front‘, ‘Captain Klep‘, ‘Robo-Hunter‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 15 March 1980.

Cover Art Robot: Brian Bolland

Judge Dredd‘s next multi-episode tale begins, it’s the third birthday issue of 2000AD and there’s so much content packed into this weeks Prog!

My pick of the Prog is: Judge Dredd

Script Robot: John Howard

Art Robot: Brian Bolland

Lettering Robot: Tom Frame

Judge Dredd starts off The Judge Child story a bit ahead of its time and then cuts back to the moments that kick starts the story. Featuring Judge Feyy, whom I previously drew a comparison to on Twitter stating that he bears a remarkable resemblance to Max Von Sydow (Chief Justive Fargo in the 1995 Judge Dredd movie as well as his role in Minority Report). As the first pages of the story show us, we’re headed back into the Cursed Earth for more mutie action as Dredd tries to desperately track down this supposed saviour of Mega-City One

Prog 156 cast back out into the Cursed Earth! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 157.
