Welcome to Prog 161 featuring ‘Blackhawk‘, ‘The V.C.’s‘, ‘Fiends of the Eastern Front‘, ‘Ro-Jaws’ Robo-Tales‘, ‘Robo-Hunter‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 19 April 1980.

Today is a special day for not only is it 161 consecutive days of Prog goodness, but it’s my 40th birthday!

Anyway, as you were, citizen.

Cover Art Robot: Brian Bolland

Judge Dredd stares at the Judge Child on this weeks cover!

My pick of the Prog is: Blackhawk

Script Robot: Alvin Gaunt

Art Robot: Belardinelli

Lettering Robot: Pete Knight

Blackhawk, with his soul back where it belongs, needs to escape Silversun. In a make-shift vessel, dubbed Kwark’s Ark, Blackhawk and co make good their escape – is this the last we’ll see of Blackhawk and chums? This strip is rife with glorious artwork from Belardinelli again.

Prog 161 zog?! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 162.

Florix Grabundae!
