Welcome to Prog 29 which features ‘Invasion!‘, ‘Shako!‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Dan Dare‘, ‘M.A.C.H.1‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 10 September 1977.

I’ve been struggling with figuring out how to format these posts in the sense of listing the stories in the order they’re printed or just keeping my favourite until last. Not sure what makes for better reading or if anyone who reads this just wants to see what my pick is and then buggers off? Let me know in the comments what you prefer.

For now, I think I’ll stick to the order in which they appear for the most part an put my favourite at the end.

Invasion!‘ has savage and the ‘Jocks‘ fighting their way out of Glasgow.

Judge Dredd‘ tackles the Klan and de-hoods their leader.

Shako!‘ is hunted down and we end up seeing Shako in the middle of the Americans and Russians.

Dan Dare‘ and his new crew locate a missing ship and uncover the mystery of their radio silence.

M.A.C.H.1‘ is up against it as he needs to stop an I.C.B.M from targeting Russia.

And my “Pick of the Prog“: ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘ again! Here we see a Planet of the Apes style strip and I just loved the twist which I sensed was coming from the on-set but it was still a thrill!

Prog 29 expelled! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 30!
