Welcome to Prog 67 featuring ‘M.A.C.H Zero‘, ‘Death Planet‘, ‘Walter the Wobot‘, ‘Inferno!‘, ‘Dan Dare‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 3 June 1978.

I’ve decided to change up the way I do these as I feel like it’s a mundane task and not really an enjoyable read so instead of giving a short synopsis of every strip, I will focus on my Pick of the Prog only. Feel free to drop a comment with your thoughts on the change and any other ideas.

This time around, my pick is ‘Judge Dredd‘.

Script Robot: Pat Mills

Art Robot: Mike McMahon

Lettering Robot: Tom Frame

Back with more Dredd. This time Dredd encounters some ‘vampires’ and some pitchfork wielding-types as the Cursed Earth mystery sets itself up. I loved the imagery and Van Helsing-like wooden stake through the heart scene. It’s almost like Dredd has been teleported into a cross between Scooby Doo and Fright Night.

Prog 67 staked! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 68!
