Welcome to Prog 83 featuring ‘Ant Wars‘, ‘Robo-Hunter’, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Dan Dare‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 23 September 1978.

Cover Art Robot: Mike McMahon

Another Judge Dredd cover, this time giving us a glimpse of The Legion of the Damned now that they are back on their way to Mega-City 2.

My Pick of the Prog in this issue is ‘Robo-Hunter‘.

Script Robot: TB Grover

Art Robot: Ian Gibson

Lettering Robot: Steve Potter

Sam continues on his mission to prove he is a human by tracking down the original robot, SJI, sent to Verdus to prepare the planet for humans to settle. I love this world and the humour and I should have expected SJI to turn out to be a menial worker but I, like Sam, had held out hope but I felt no doubt what he felt when first laying eyes on the robot – the futility of it all.

Prog 83 reprogrammed! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 84!
