Welcome to Prog 200 featuring ‘Strontium Dog,  ‘The Mean Arena‘, ‘Return to Armageddon‘, ‘Meltdown Man‘, ‘Tharg the Mighty‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 21 February 1981.

Cover Art Robot: Robin Smith

Tharg commands the cover this week, as would be expected for the 200th issue of The Galaxy’s Greatest Comic!

My pick of the Prog is: Judge Dredd

Script Robot: TB Grover

Art Robot: Ron Smith

Lettering Robot: Tom Frame

The Pirates of the Black Atlantic story concludes as the plot to launch nuclear missiles at Mega-City One turns out to be at the hands of the SovsDredd wins the dick measuring contest by sending them a note… A flat-top Russian Freddie Mercury proclaims they must make a gesture and so they drop one of their own nukes on East Meg One. The artork from Ron Smith is spectacular throughout and those fashionably fearsome Sov Judge uniforms give me major Wolfenstein vibes…

Prog 200 blows up in a mushroom cloud of confetti and balloons! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 201.
