Welcome to Prog 231 featuring ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Nemesis the Warlock‘, ‘Strontium Dog‘, ‘Rogue Trooper‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 26 September 1981.

Cover Art Robot: Dave Gibbons

A Nort bears down on Rogue on this weeks cover.

My pick of the Prog is: Nemesis the Warlock

Script Robot: Pat Mills

Art Robot: Kevin O’Neill

Lettering Robot: Steve Potter

Straight off the bat I loved this episode as the “credit card” was the first thing I spotted and I know it sounds daft but it adds so much more to Nemesis as it fits beautifully and the use of “Brother”is just *chef’s kiss*. The story also goes quite dark but then so humorous and light at the same time – the Terminators are about to send a batch of aliens to their deaths in the flames of the Earths molten core when Nemesis hijacks the Pandemonium to use its music to drive the Terminators into a frenzy and distract them before rescuing the aliens who have been sentenced to death.

Prog 231 falls into the bowels of Hell! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 232.
