Cover Art Robot: Kevin O’Neill
Nemesis fights back on this weeks cover!
My pick of the Prog is: Rogue Trooper
Script Robot: Gerry Finley-Day
Art Robot: Dave Gibbons
Lettering Robot: Bill Nuttall
In this episode, Rogue is tormented by a dream which acts as a flashback to the Quartz Massacre in which the Genetic Infantrymen were slaughtered in an ambush resulting in Rogue‘s compatriots being slotted into his equipment. This is basically Gunnar‘s origin story for how he came to be in Rogue‘s weapon. I quite like how this was done, rather than doing what a lot of other stories do and cut back to a different time this plays out as the dream torments Rogue and adds some understanding to his character as well as fleshing him out an setting the tone for the series. The artwork is fantastic, especially the detail in the capsule drop and the Nort “welcoming party”.
Prog 230‘s bio-chip has expired! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 231.
