Welcome to Prog 241 featuring ‘Ace Trucking‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘The Mean Arena‘, ‘Rogue Trooper‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 5 December 1981.

Cover Art Robot: Dave Gibbons

Rogue marches on as the skulls of his down compatriots loom large above him as he continues his mission to avenge them.

My pick of the Prog is: Tharg’s Future-Shocks

Script Robot: Steve Moore

Art Robot: Casanovas

Lettering Robot: Bill Nuttall

In the first of two Tharg’s Future-Shocks in this Prog, I really enjoyed The Masks of Arrazor. It heavily reminded me of Alien as well as the hilarious Promortyus episode of Rick and Morty. This cosmic comedy caper is absolutely brilliant and daft and I wish we could see more of the planet Arazzor. The masks themselves even look like that of the “Space Jockey” in Alien.

Prog 241 set for a suicide course! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 242.
