Welcome to Prog 248 featuring ‘Ace Trucking‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Nemesis the Warlock‘, ‘Rogue Trooper‘, ‘The Mean Arena‘, and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 23 January 1982.

Cover Art Robot: Brian Bolland

This weeks cover is graced by the mugs of the Slayers!

My pick of the Prog is: Rogue Trooper

Script Robot: Gerry Finley-Day

Art Robot: Colin Wilson

Lettering Robot: Bill Nuttall

Bagman and Helm are still inside the murderous computer in a building that reminds me of The Thirteenth Floor. Rogue remains outside of the computer with Gunnar thinking that Bagman and Helm have failed and their number is up only for them to pull through and dispose of the computer and have their biochips recovered in the nick of time. I loved the Lawnmower Man-esque scenario of them in the computer and seeing Bagman and Helm in “physical” form.

Prog 248 shuts down permanently! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 249.

Florix Grabundae!
