Welcome to Prog 42 which features ‘Invasion!‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Inferno!‘, ‘Dan Dare‘, ‘M.A.C.H.1‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 10 December 1977.

I’ve been struggling with figuring out how to format these posts in the sense of listing the stories in the order they’re printed or just keeping my favourite until last. Not sure what makes for better reading or if anyone who reads this just wants to see what my pick is and then buggers off? Let me know in the comments what you prefer.

For now, I think I’ll stick to the order in which they appear for the most part an put my favourite at the end.

Judge Dredd‘ goes off-planet as he is invited to the moon!

Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘ teaches us that just because you can, it doesn’t mean you should. Especially when it comes to time travel.

Invasion!‘ has the circus coming to town.

‘Bonjo From Beyond the Stars‘ has some casual racism of oriental nature.

Dan Dare‘ continues in his battle with the Starslayer Empire.

M.A.C.H.1‘ and the Death Ray concludes with Sharpe shatting all over Probe‘s success.

And my “Pick of the Prog“: ‘Inferno‘ sees the Heroes‘ face Shafer’s Sickles led by Ernie Shafer who is rocking a Noddy Holder-esque look.

Prog 42 smushed! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 43!

Florix Grabundae!
