Welcome to Prog 55 featuring ‘M.A.C.H.1‘, ‘Colony Earth‘, ‘Encounter‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Walter the Wobot‘, ‘Inferno!‘, ‘Dan Dare‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 11 March 1978.

Dan Dare‘ faces off against six Bears – but, thanks to a discovery in the previous prog, it’s easy to sus out the impostors…

M.A.C.H.1‘ has John Probe continuing his mission for the Dolphin Tapes, but he’s not alone as others have an interest in them too…

Colony Earth‘ takes a turn when Commander James Hunter commandeers an alien buggy and captures one of the aliens.

Judge Dredd‘ falls for a trap laid by Elvis, the rogue sentient car with the attitude of a five year old boy.

Encounter‘ gives us a short tale called ‘The Sun God‘.

Inferno!‘ has Regal Eegle get a touch of cold feet as the Sharks are set to chomp through the Hellcats.

‘Walter the Wobot’ takes a trip down memory lane before a tease of robot death…

And my “Pick of the Prog“: ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘ has a bizarre spin on the old drilling for oil tropes with another size-based story.

Prog 55 exsanguinated! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 56!
