Welcome to Prog 56 featuring ‘M.A.C.H.1‘, ‘Colony Earth‘, ‘Encounter‘, ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘, ‘Walter the Wobot‘, ‘Inferno!‘, ‘Dan Dare‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 18 March 1978.

Dan Dare‘ and his crew are now at the mercy of a giant Kraken-like creature in yet another daring adventure…

Colony Earth‘ continues as Commander James Hunter has control of one of the giant alien robots and the alien invaders continue with their planetary engineering.

Judge Dredd‘ is taken hostage by Elvis, using him as leverage to fulfil his wish-list but Elvis‘ very existence dissolves.

Encounter‘ gives us another short tale called ‘The Day of the Phoenix‘.

M.A.C.H.1‘ discovers lost agent and friend, Robert Peel whilst still in pursuit of the Dolphin Tapes.

Inferno!‘ sees Giant‘s outdated jetpack explode, nearly taking the whole team out with it.

‘Walter the Wobot’ reunites with his mother who gives his brother a new purpose in “life”.

And my “Pick of the Prog“: ‘Tharg’s Future-Shocks‘ goes a bit Planet of the Apes with another time travelling tale where men think they know better…

Prog 56 swallowed whole! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 57!
