2000ADHD – A Prog a Day – Prog 119

Welcome to Prog 119 featuring ‘Dan Dare‘, ‘ABC Warriors‘, ‘Disaster 1990‘, ‘Project Overkill‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 30 June 1979.

Cover Art Robot: Unknown

James Bond appears on this cover as a tie-in. Unlike in Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge, Roger Moore is actually making an appearance here…

It was a tough call in this Prog – the new thrills (albeit two are “repackaged”) gave a lot to consider but my pick of the Prog in this issue is ‘Project Overkill‘.

Script Robot: Kelvin Gosnell

Art Robot: Ian Gibson

Lettering Robot: Jack Potter

What a cracking introduction to a new thrill! The artwork is fantastic and the story is gripping from the on-set. As a fan of The Twilight Zone and The X-Files and pretty much anything with some sort of conspiracy hook to it, this really grabbed my attention and imagination wondering what the next Prog has in store!

Prog 119 bagged and gagged! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 120.
