Welcome to Prog 190 featuring ‘Dash Decent,  ‘Ro-Jaws’ Robo-Tales‘, ‘Return to Armageddon‘, ‘Meltdown Man‘, ‘Strontium Dog‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 13 December 1980.

Cover Art Robot: Carlos Ezquerra

Johnny Alpha and Wulf are set to fend off an angry mob like der cucumber on this weeks cover.

My pick of the Prog is: Ro-Jaws’ Robo-Tales

Script Robot: Alan Moore

Art Robot: Steve Dillon

Lettering Robot: Aldrich MK II

On a planet where crime is rife amongst humans on Planet Twopp, in part one of Final Solution, the Prime Minister had approached Abelard Snazz, President  of Think Inc. There,he devised a plan that would stamp out crime – big police robots.

Trouble is, they stamped out crime so good they ended up punishing people for trivial things like using double negatives, using the wrong cutlery and so on. So, the Prime Minister returns to Snazz to aid in solving this problem. The solution? Robot Criminals.

And on it goes until this Robo-Tale concludes in this Prog.

The design on Snazz is great, for some reason his second pair of eyes on his forehead makes my own forehead itch and feel uncomfortable… And then there’s this bizarre drink of his that has eyes and can seemingly talk… Cracking tale, cracking artwork. Just cracking.

Prog 190 evacuates its home planet! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 191.
