Welcome to Prog 167 featuring ‘The Mind of Wolfie Smith‘, ‘Nemesis the Warlock‘, ‘Stainless Steel Rat‘, ‘Robo-Hunter‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 5 July 1980.

Cover Art Robot: Kevin O’Neill

Torquemada bursts onto this cover in pursuit of Nemesis the Warlock.

My pick of the Prog is: Nemesis the Warlock

Script Robot: P Mills

Art Robot: K O’Neill

Lettering Robot: Steve Potter

I’ve heard a lot about Nemesis the Warlock and Torquemada but wasn’t expecting the debut to be like this. In a craft not too dissimilar to that of the Wipeout game series, Nemesis tears through the ‘Terror Tube‘ and Torquemada commences pursuit, only to have his efforts thwarted… Glorious action and artwork from Kevin O’Neill.

Prog 167 takes a wrong turn! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 168.
