That Fat Boy Slims – The Ketogenic Diet – Day 31
Following on from yesterday and the day before, I was super fucking tired today. I was slow getting out of bed and slow getting myself ready for work. I weighed and shed another 1lb – another, non-rogue 1lb so I’m now 15st 3lbs. 4lbs to go until I’m 2st down!
I made a bulletproof coffee after sorting out the kids’ packed lunches. I chucked some of the Himalayan Salt in the bath this morning but I couldn’t rally have a soak as I didn’t have time. I took some of the tikka I made yesterday and some cauliflower rice to work for lunch, packed a little tub of coffee granules and my almonds to snack on.
I was starving by the time I got to work. My head was pounding and the headache hasn’t really given up at all. I took a magnesium pill before I left the house but I felt constantly thirsty too. My energy levels have felt pretty rock-bottom all day and, throughout the day, I had four or five black coffees to try and keep me going. I felt no effect from them. Prior to my first black coffee at around 10:00, I was having heart palpitations again and I have no idea why – I haven’t had any sugars or sweeteners and my bulletproof coffee doesn’t normally cause any sort of spike or anything. It’s really irritating and I don’t know what I should or shouldn’t be doing to prevent it.
I had lunch around 13:30 – the tikka was really nice but I think I shoulda given myself more sauce as it was fairly weak. Still delicious but it coulda been better. We froze the rest so I’ll be sure to do it differently next time.
I found myself feeling quite grumpy and moody and really struggling with my energy and concentration today. I don’t recognise this version of me as it’s been weeks and weeks since I’ve felt like this. I hope this phase ends soon as I don’t think I can cope with much more.
I snacked on a couple handfuls of almonds and I had some more of the hamburger soup when I got home. It tasted even nicer today so I guess the re-boiling of it has brought out some more flavour. If that’s even a thing. If not, I’m making it one.
It’s 22:03 and I really need to get to bed as I am struggling to keep my eyes open. Hopefully there’s another loss on the scales in the morning. Good night!
