Nerdful Things – Elder Scrolls Online: October 2018 Update
Welcome to my Elder Scrolls Online [ESO] update for October – yes, I know it’s a few days late but I only just decided I wanted to cover ESO content so…let’s get started.
I want to kick things off with the awesome Summerfall event that started in September and runs through to October 7th. If you haven’t already, get yourself on to Summerset – you don’t have to find the striking locales any more but you do need to log in to Summerset to be eligible for the rewards unlocked by the community.
If you don’t have the Summerset chapter then you should grab it. See my links below for ElectronicFirst to grab discounted PSN and XBox wallet top-ups.
So, Summerfall. The community hit the 100% target so all three rewards will be available for users later this month. and, as described above, if you missed the event, as long as you log in to Summerset by 7th October, you will be able to grab them too. I completed the challenge on both the EU server and the NA so I can have the rewards on both servers. I only started on NA for the rewards but I may play more on there in the future.
Anyway, what are the rewards I hear you cry, here they are:
Some fantastic rewards and, we’re gonna need plenty of crowns to furnish that beast of a home. Get ESO+ for monthly crowns for, sign up for six months and get all the crowns upfront! See the end of this post for details on getting discounted PSN and XBox top-ups to get more bang for your buck.
Finally, we have the October daily rewards. Not as good as last month – it’ll take a lot to top the 100k gold reward for last month but considering we’re getting a free pet, mount and a house what more do we want? There are a few crown crates up for grabs this month so hopefully we’ll score some awesome items other than potions and other consumables.
I am currently a member of:
All of them are on Facebook (linked above).
You can find my main character, Grunt Fatkhok on Facebook and Twitter.
If you’re new to ESO or you’re just getting back into it, I definitely recommend ESO+. Not only do you get crowns to spend in the crown store with your subscription, you get one of the most invaluable bonuses ever. The craft bag. Struggling for storage space is a nightmare in the game and pack upgrades and horse storage takes time and gold. A lot of gold. The craft bag frees you from the shackles of the poor storage by allowing you to store infinite crafting items and allows you to fill your pockets and bank with items to aid you in battle or to loot the spoils of war and learn new traits, gain key crafting components or just sell them for gold. £53.99 for six months is a bargain.
And, whether you’re a Playstation or XBox user, why not get discounted wallet top ups to fund your ESO+ or just top up your crowns every now and again? Check out the amazing deals at ElectronicFirst. I use them all the time and I usually get the e-mail with my code(s) within ten minutes. Some great savings to be had – £43.99 for a £50 PSN top up? You’d be daft not to!
