Welcome to Prog 71 featuring ‘M.A.C.H Zero‘, ‘Ant Wars‘, ‘Inferno!‘, ‘Dan Dare‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 1 July 1978.

My Pick of the Prog in this issue is ‘Judge Dredd‘.

Script Robot: Pat Mills

Art Robot: Mike McMahon

Lettering Robot: Tom Frame

Dredd finds himself in the midst of the Burger WarsRonald MacDonald and Burger King are at war in the Cursed Earth. In this “two tribes go to war” tale, Dredd and Spikes end up captured by the MacDonalds crew and are about to be taken back to their base of operations. I loved the daftness of this story as well as the imagery and the spin on capitalist culture. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Prog 71 served up! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 72!
