That Fat Boy Slims – The Ketogenic Diet – Day 11

Another sluggish start to the day – not sure where this tiredness is coming from as there is a multitude of causes; from eating a lot less and not getting anywhere near my goal amount of calories to weaning off of my antidepressants, there’s still a lot going on.  I prepped the kids’ packed lunches as usual as well as prepping a salad for my wife as she was going on the school trip with Georgia and Talia to Folly Farm.  I also weighed this morning again and there was no change.  Still on 15st 13lbs.  I can only assume this is because I am not eating much.

We all walked to the school and I walked back alone.  It was boiling again and it seemed much hotter than the previous days.  I had the day to myself, pretty much.  I chilled on the sofa doing my dailies on the Playstation and I must’ve dozed off.  This is the second time where I’ve fallen asleep unexpectedly.  Although I was feeling tired, I didn’t feel sleepy and had no intention of having a nap.  I came to, feeling mildly refreshed.  I think it must have only been about twenty minutes – normally I feel groggy and awful after a nap but this felt different.

I had plenty of housework to do and planned on getting some of the garden done.  By lunch time I had a walnut fat bomb – the only thing I’d had in the day so far.  I know this needs to change as I won’t lose weight nor feel the benefits of this diet but I just cannot find the desire to eat.

After hanging the washing out and having a bit of time on The Elder Scrolls Online I decided to have a quick bath and freshen up.  It was soon time to go get Seren from school so I opted to walk again.  The heat was unbearable.  It was much more enjoyable with just the two of us on the way back, though.  I can’t stand walking slowly.  In fact, it seems to hurt my upper legs and hips when walking slowly.  When we have Talia and Georgia in tow it’s a drag.  They whinge and they cry and they dawdle.  And it drives me nuts.

I started feeling peckish around 18:00 and eventually decided to order takeaway.  I used Just Eat and ordered myself a combination kebab – chicken shish and chicken donner with no pitta bread, salad or sauce – and I also ordered the King Burger (without the bun, sauce and any other extras).  As I was having the kebab without the pitta and other crap and I wanted the burgers without the bun, I asked to have extra meat with the kebab and cheese on the burgers instead.  Not sure if they gave me extra meat in the kebab but they gave me cheese on the burgers – yay!

I couldn’t finish two of the burgers but I really enjoyed the food.  I really don’t think I’ll have lost weight when I weigh in the morning – the not eating will pose a major setback I think and I need to try and figure out how to combat this lack of hunger.

It’s 22:05 at the time I write this part and I feel really sick.  I have a sweat on akin to when you’re coming down with something and I feel really uncomfortable.  My stomach feels bloaty and the pain seems to be getting worse.  It could just be the fact I’ve eaten something substantial for the first time in days or it could be something else.  I don’t feel like I’m getting into a state of ketosis and the urine test strips don’t seem to give a clear answer (I don’t even know if they work properly).

Day eleven is practically over and, although I’ve been losing weight, I don’t feel I’ve been as efficient in what I should be doing and worry that it’s going to work against me…

I currently use Muscle Food and their amazing deals on meat hampers.  If you want to grab yourself a great deal, head over here.

Additional supplements such as Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut Oil etc. we get from Holland & Barett.
