That Fat Boy Slims – The Ketogenic Diet – Day 18
So remember when I said in my post yesterday that I planned to try and get up at 05:00 this morning to try and do some yoga or a workout? Yeah, that didn’t happen. I was incredibly tired again and didn’t get outta bed until just after 07:00 again. Great. I had a pretty shit sleep – woke up a few times in the night and struggled to get back to sleep.
Even when I was up out of bed I was very sloth-like this morning. I kept checking the time as I was sorting the kids’ packed lunches out and getting myself ready for work as I had visions of me being late. I made another bulletproof coffee this morning but added more cocoa and I also chucked in some coconut oil. It tasted amazing. I could barely taste the butter and it was almost like a latte aside from the cream. I may experiment some more with it tomorrow.
On a positive note, I weighed again this morning and I was 3lbs down. Nice!
My lunch was the chicken alfredo with courgetti – I couldn’t eat it all. I think it was a mixture of it being rather filling plus the heat. I really struggle to eat when I’m too hot, especially in restaurants where I’m positive they do it on purpose. I had no energy drinks today and I managed to get through without any espresssos too. I would have had some but my stomach has been really bad today – I ended up being sick in work earlier and I’ve had diarrhoea subsequent to that. It could be the magnesium but the heat had me feeling really ill and some of my colleagues were feeling the same too. I may take the magnesium before bed tomorrow night or, perhaps, have half in the morning and half at night. It seems to be helping the headaches as I haven’t had one for the past three days…
As the day progressed, my energy levels improved and it was only after I was sick that the tiredness kinda set in and I couldn’t stop yawning.
I didn’t take any snacks with me today (I forgot my almonds!) so I’ve fasted from about 14:00 right up until 21:45 when I decided to have a walnut fat bomb. I also sorted my food ready for work tomorrow – my wife cooked chicken curry with cauliflower rice. Cauliflower rice is nice but when I’ve had it before it does get a bit sickly after a while. This lot looks different and it’s not too much so I think it’ll be much more enjoyable.
For three days straight now, my macros have been on point. Very pleased with this!
