Welcome to Prog 11 which features ‘Invasion!‘, ‘Flesh‘, ‘Dan Dare‘, ‘Harlem Heroes‘, ‘M.A.C.H.1‘ and ‘Judge Dredd‘, published on 7 May 1977.

I’ve been struggling with figuring out how to format these posts in the sense of listing the stories in the order they’re printed or just keeping my favourite until last. Not sure what makes for better reading or if anyone who reads this just wants to see what my pick is and then buggers off? Let me know in the comments what you prefer.

For now, I think I’ll stick to the order in which they appear for the most part an put my favourite at the end.

Invasion!‘ sees Savage hounded by mutated dogs.

Flesh‘ has the Trans-Time base surrounded by starving flesh-eaters.

Judge Dredd‘ wages war on the robots after Call Me Kenneth respawns and rallies an army.

Dan Dare‘ receives punishment while Monday makes the ultimate sacrifice.

M.A.C.H.1‘ puts the pedal to the metal and writes off an Aston Martin.

And my “Pick of the Prog“: The ‘Harlem Heroes‘ suffer a blow which enrages them. To the point they mash the Mashers and Giant addresses the camera, directing his message at the one trying take the Heroes out. I loved the final page (below) – the last panel in particular as it reminds me of Dr Claw in Inspector Gadget  – a childhood staple and favourite of mine.

Prog 11 has been consumed! Join me on the next one to see who/what grabs the pick of Prog 12!
