That Fat Boy Slims – The Ketogenic Diet – Day 13
It was a bit easier getting up this morning – not so sluggish and I was pretty efficient at getting my food ready for work and then getting myself ready. I didn’t take my Mirtazapine last night and I feel like I’m ready to come off them completely so I just hope the next few days (and beyond) aren’t too rough for me. I do feel a lot better in myself since starting keto and I hope the effects are long-lasting. My anxiety isn’t really an issue and hasn’t been for over a week. My IBS has been the best it’s been since I was first diagnosed and, aside from tiredness and my back pain, I feel great.
The fact that I haven’t really cut all the carbs out and gone over my allowance for a significant portion may have hindered me but today I felt like I had my appetite back. For lunch, I took a chicken breast from last night and had some salad and that was it – no snacks, yoghurts or fruit at all. I did start to feel really hungry around 16:00 but I had three quadruple espressos throughout the afternoon and evening and continued to drink water.
Even though I hadn’t lost (or gained) weight when I weighed this morning, I feel smaller again and have been able to get into my second pair of jeans that I haven’t been able to wear for quite some time so I’m obviously losing the inches – something that I need to start taking stock of to measure progress as well.
For dinner, I cooked up some sausages and wrapped them in cheese and bacon. My concern here is I finished work at 20:00, got home by about 20:30 and then took ages to decide what I wanted and then the prep time etc. so it was about 21:50 by the time I finished eating… We’ll see what the scales say in’t morn, I guess!
I currently use Muscle Food and their amazing deals on meat hampers. If you want to grab yourself a great deal, head over here.
Additional supplements such as Apple Cider Vinegar, Coconut Oil etc. we get from Holland & Barett.
